Action, excitement, romance...All under the big top! Showman Hank Whirling (Victor Mature) is determined to turn his struggling circus into a success despite the ruthless attempts of his former partner to sabotage his dream. Along the way, a roaming lion terrorizes party-goers, an inferno threatens the caged animals, elephants recall the glory of Hannibals's herd as they push and pull circus wagons over mountain roads and a skilled but self-doubting aerialist (Gilbert Roland) walks a tightrope across Niagara Falls. The fine supporting cast includes Vincent Price, as the ringmaster, Peter Lorre as a boozy clown and Red Buttons as a timed accountant unexpectedly thrust into the center ring. |
